Week 2
This week we have started to read 'The Mousehole Cat'.
This is a story based on the legend of Tom Bawcock who was thought to be a fisherman who lived in Cornwall a long time ago.
The story focusses on Tom, his cat Mowzer and a great storm that comes to threaten the peaceful harbour they live in. We have learned that Tom is a great cat owner - he never spills the saucer of cream, always stokes the range until it has a beautiful golden glow, rocks the rocking chair at just the right speed, knows the exact spot Mowzer likes to be tickled and goes fishing so he can cook Mowzer delicious food every night.
We freeze framed all the things that make Tom great - have a look!
