Autumn 1- Amazing Me!

Amazing Me!

This topic is all about getting to know one another as we settle into our new class! We will be learning about how our bodies work, talking about our likes, dislikes, similarities and differences and why we are special!

We can't wait to find out more about our AMAZING class in September!

Today we began measuring the height of the children in Elm class. In a couple of months, we will remeasure to see how much they have grown! Who is the tallest in our class? Who is the smallest?

What a great start to the week! We have been busy exploring the classroom and outdoor area and getting to know more about each other! :)

This week we have been practising writing some letters in Phonics. Keep practising at home! :)

Today we have been exploring the number 0 and the different ways it can be represented!

This week we went on an Autumn walk to spot the early signs of Autumn! We collected some leaves and pine cones.

Wellbeing Day!

As part of our wellbeing day, we decided to make bird feeders! We listened to calm music whilst we threaded our cheerios onto a pipcleaner. We hung our bird feeders in our forest school area for the birds to enjoy!

We have been making our own sandwiches for snack time! Look at how independent we are!

Well done to the queen of handwriting! This week Rosie has worked very hard to form her letters using a tripod pencil grip. :)

Goodbye to our lovely Teaching Assistant Mrs Cook! Good luck. :)

What a busy week! Enjoy your half term Elm class!
