Tunnels, Turrets and Towers
This term are main focus is going to be on castles and the royal family! We will be discovering what the different parts of a castle is called, what it's purpose is, where they were built and why. I am very excited to learning about the royal family and their connection to Northampton (Princess Diana). Although, my favourite and most exciting part of this topic is going to be learning about the Northampton Castle and it's significance to our area!
In this term we are going to be discussing and writing a setting description based on the story The Tunnel by Anthony Browne. It is a lovely story about a brother and a sister who don't usually get along go on an adventure into a tunnel and find a forest on the other side. They get separated and they must use their love for one another to rescue each other.
