This week in school council the children will be bringing feedback from the classes about behaviour in our school. The children have been asked to discuss:
How they feel about behaviour in school?
Does everyone know where to go if they have a problem?
Does everyone know the school rules?
November 23 - feedback from meeting
During our last meeting we asked classes to discuss the following issues; attendance, how to improve, how we can stop losing the playtime equipment and how we can supervise the prayer room. These are their responses and ideas:
Checklist for the children to sign equipment in and out of each break and lunch time, boxes or crates to keep it in, punishments/fines for those who loose equipment, timetable for different year groups to use it, designated space on the playground (middle to stop equipment going onto the roof, a playground monitor to supervise, either a prefect or a school council representative.
Any child who wants to use the payer room to get a signed permission from their parents, saying that they will abide by the rules of the school and the room to be monitored by prefects and school council (5/6) with the members of SLT checking in when they are on duty.
Weekly rewards for 100% attendance such as house points or some other weekly incentives, tea party with the heads, privilege cards, freddos, extra break, mufti for those who have 100% attendance, names get entered into a raffle draw either weekly, monthly or termly, movie afternoon reward, small prize rewards, lollies, hot chocolate or cake.
