Child Protection and Safeguarding at ESP

Safeguarding at Earl Spencer Primary School

Earl Spencer Primary School is committed to Safeguarding and Promoting the Welfare of all of its pupils and it is the responsibility of all school staff, governors and volunteers.

Everyone working with our pupils should be aware that:

· Their role is to listen and note carefully any observations which could indicate abuse;

· They should not attempt to investigate;

· They should inform the designated safeguarding leads immediately (See below)

· All concerns should be recorded on My Concern.

The Underwear Rule (from NSPCC)

Teach your child the Underwear Rule and help protect them from abuse. It's a simple way that parents can help keep children safe from abuse – without using scary words.

Follow this link to the 'Let's Talk Pants' website. Talking PANTS teaches children important messages, like their body belongs to them and they should tell an adult if they're upset or worried.
