Term 5

ALIVE AND KICKING!

Our topic this term is all about lifecycles, change, animals and Spring time!

We have started off our new topic thinking about Spring. We thought about what we see in Spring before going on a Spring hunt in the forest school area. Take a look at what we found.

Today we investigated what would happen if we added hot water to a circle of skittles on a plate.

The children predicted what would happen, before observing the experiment and talking about the conclusion.

“The water will change colour”

“It will make a rainbow”

“The skittles will melt”

“The skittles will go white”.

The children really enjoyed this activity, perhaps they could show you at home.

We received an invite from King Charles inviting us to his coronation party. We then sent him our replies that we had written.

In maths we have been learning about odd and even numbers.

We have enjoyed making our own crowns.

Take a look at our nature crowns to celebrate the Kings Coronation.

We enjoyed our tea party on Friday.

This week we have learnt the story of the Very Hungry Caterpillar and all of the food he eaten. We then designed and made our own healthy fruit kebabs.

We have been exploring the features of a non fiction book.

We have enjoyed writing our own stories.

Mrs Bouher has given us some new instruments.
