Splendid Skies

Welcome back to term 4!

Our topic this term is Splendid Skis which is very much focused on the weather,

In English we will start the term looking at the story of Bog Baby and writing some setting descriptions, instructions, letters and newspaper reports.

In maths we will expand our knowledge on capacity, number bonds, shape, division and multiplication.

In Science and Topic we will be focusing on the seasons and what we wear in each season. We will be hoping for some rain so that we can carry out an investigation into how big a raindrop is. We will also look at what extreme weather is and the 1998 Northampton floods, Why don't you ask members of your family what they can remember from when Northampton flooded:?

Your homework projects are fantastic!

We started off our English with some D4W. We had some objects and we had to describe the, and think about where they came from or what they would be used for.

We have been using numicon to help us learn our number bonds to 20.

In computing we have started our online safety unit by producing images and naming and dating them, this means that we can decide who uses our images.

We have been orienteering outside to solve multiplication arrays.

This week in English and topic we have been learning about the 1998 Easter floods where Northampton flooded. We have been sorting the facts ready to write a newspaper report.

We have been reading and making the times to half past the hour.

Take a look at us being weather forecasters.
