Our topic this half term is Dinosaurs!

 

We are going to be learning about the famous fossil hunter Mary Anning. Pretending to dig for bones and recreating the extinction event in our small world play. Delving into an array of fantastic stories including Katie and the dinosaurs, Tyrannosaurus Drip and Captain Flynn and the pirate dinosaurs. Learning to love books and get fully immersed into what we are reading.

Just this week in maths, we have been learning to count on and match numerals to number words.

This week the children have been thinking about their five senses. They really enjoyed exploring some natural resources whilst considering which sense they were experiencing. The garlic was particularly smelly and made a snap noise when broken in two.
