Autum Term 1 - Dinosaurs

The children have been enjoying mindfulness breathing and cosmic yoga!
Last week in Maths we have been learning about one more than and one less than a given number. This week we have been exploring partitioning and place value of tens and ones. The children have worked very hard and should be proud of themselves.
We had a shock last week when we found this in our garden! The children had some wonderful ideas of what it could be, where it could of come from and what might have been inside of it. They shared their ideas then wrote them into their English books. Well done Chestnut Class!
This week we have been learning the power of fantastic adjectives! The children had to think of more exciting words than big, small, nice etc in order to stop Miss Faulkner falling asleep! Thankfully they had some wonderful ideas!
Week starting 5th October.

In Maths this week we have been learning to use different ways to support our addition.

In English we have been learning facts about dinosaurs. 🦖 🦕 We have learn these facts using a text map....can your child retell you the facts?
