Spring 1: Moon Zoom
Week 1
We returned to school this week to find something very odd in our outdoor area! It looked like a space ship had crash landed! We had lots of questions we wanted to ask - maybe this all had something to do with out 'Moon Zoom' topic!
Week 2
This week we have been investigating different materials in Science - we have been seeing which materials are bendy/not bendy, stretchy/not stretchy, waterproof/absorbent and transparent/opaque.
Week 3
On our wellbeing day this week we did some yoga and some mindfulness colouring - the children felt very relaxed after this!
Week 4
This week in Maths we have been using base ten and numicon to represent teen numbers. The children have been able to confidently describe teen numbers using the vocabulary tens and ones.
Week 5
In Maths this week we have been using our place value knowledge to order numbers up to 20. The children have enjoyed ordering numbers from smallest to greatest and also greatest to smallest.
Week 6
In Maths this week we have been learning what 'double' means. We have used the number shapes to find doubles of numbers up to 10 and have used sentence stems to complete number sentences.
