Term 2- Bright Lights, Big City.


This term we will be learning about London.


We will start the term with a special tea party, who will be our Royal guest?


In English we will read a story about London and then innovate it to make it our own. We will also be writing a setting description based on this story.


In Geography we will be learning about  about the physical and human characteristics of the United Kingdom, including a detailed exploration of the characteristics and features of the capital city, London.


In DT we will be exploring wheels and axels before making our own moving vehicles. 

We had a great morning preparing to meet the King and then showing him what we had learnt this afternoon.

We have been using natural materials to create some transient art weather symbols. Can you guess the weather?

This week in maths we have been learning about how teen numbers are made up, we started with looking and practicing with number shapes.

We have been learning how to create an algorithm in computing.

As part of our well being day in recognition of Children's mental health week we started and finished the day with some yoga.

Great to see some parents join us for a pancake themed parents morning.

Today we learnt what a noun is and we have labelled a picture of London Bridge using nouns.

In maths we have been using number shapes to help us double numbers to 10.

In DT we have designed our own vehicles using wheels, axels and a chassis.

In geography we have used google earth to explore london.
