Summer 1: Gods and Mortals
Our topic this term is Gods and Mortals! We will be learning about different Greek myths including Pandora's box, Theseus and the Minotaur and Daedalus and Icarus.
We acted out the scenes of Jason and the Golden Fleece
In Science we investigated which materials were the most reflective
Mental Health Awareness Week- we explored the positive impact nature has on our wellbeing
Year 3 designed their own training shoes and pitched these to the rest of the class.
Greek vases using the etching technique...
Keep an eye out on our Greek vases. We have coloured in a template of a vase using wax crayons and oil pastels. Next, we painted the vase in black paint (mixed with washing up liquid). Once this has dried we can etch our patterns on the vase.
We have a short chess session every Wednesday morning. Today we learned how to ‘check’ and ‘checkmate’.

In maths, we represented multiplication pictorially
We are performing music using body percussion!
In English, we created a freeze frame to show the different creatures that came out of Pandora’s Box.
