Spring 1: Flow

It is Children's Mental Health Week!  This year's theme is 'Express Yourself'. As part of raising awareness for Children's Mental Health, we expressed ourselves with 'wacky hair'.

As part of our English this week, We have been exploring The Lighthouse. We wrote our own alternative endings to the Lighthouse and created a Thank-you letter to the villagers.

In Maths, we have been exploring measurement. We can confidently read scales as well as apply our knowledge to adding and subtracting different volumes. We have a brilliant understanding of capacity and how that relates to volume.

In Science this term, children also identified and described the functions of different parts of flowering plants and explored the part that flowers play in the life cycle of flowering plants, including pollination, seed formation and seed dispersal.

Our topic lesson this week was all about saving water. We created posters to teach people the importance of saving water and what we can do to help.

This week we have been looking at The Day The Crayons Quit!

We have written our own letters to Duncan as if we were one of the crayons, the work we have produced is fantastic!
