• Whole School Fun Run

  On Sunday 8th March, over 30 teachers from across the Duston Cluster of school are running to raise money for the charity ‘Alfe’s Cause’.  On Friday 6th March, the School Council have organised a whole school run to add our school’s support to this worthy cause.  On Friday, children can come into school dressed in their tracksuits and, at different times during the school day, they will all run together as a class.  If you would like to donate £1 on Friday towards raising money for Alfe’s Cause, please send the money in with your child.  You can follow the progress of the run on the school’s twitter page or on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Duston-Staff-Runners

   

• World Book Day and Readathon

  Miss Brear spoke to the children in assembly last Thursday about Readathon and World Book Day.  This Thursday, children and teachers have chosen a particular author and will be dressing up as characters from this author’s chosen book. 

   

  Readathon runs from 27th February to 13th March, with children collecting sponsorship money for children’s charities.  On the 13th, children should bring in their money and sponsor cards, with  the highest fundraiser in Foundation/Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 winning a book at the Book Fair.
