Term 4 splendid skies

It has been so lovely to have all the children back in school!

We have been getting to know our new topic Splendid Skies which is where we will be looking at weather and seasons.

The children spent the first day making a range of weather related creative activities such as a kite, a weather chart and a weather oil pastel picture!

We tested the kites out in the lovely gusty wind we had on Thursday!

The children loved making Mother’s Day cards and flowers for the special person in their lives. I hope you all had a lovely day!

Over the past 2 weeks the children have really enjoyed getting to know the familiar story...

The Gruffalo!

We have acted out the story, looked at the adjectives used to describe the characters, the repeated language, the sequencing and have this week written the story in their words! They have been amazing! Ask your child to tell you the story!

This week has been science week so we have been doing some experiments!

The children also designed an item that they would invent, the children had some amazing ideas...

A robot to tidy up their bedrooms

a robot to tie their laces

a bin maker that puts pictures on the bins

What happens when we mix a couple packs of mentos with coke?
