Paws, Claws and Whiskers.

Welcome back, we hope you all had a lovely holiday and are ready to be back in school!

Our topic this term is Paws, Claws and Whiskers.

In English we will be looking at the story 'Handa's Surprise' and making predictions before moving onto innovating the story and making it our own. When the unit is finished we will be thinking about what we liked and disliked about the book. We will then move onto researching different animals before writing a fact file based around Africa.

In maths we will be covering shape, fractions, positional language, length and number work.

Science will be animal based looking at different habitats, food chains and why animals have certain characteristics.

We have been trying the fruit that was in Handa’s basket.
