Sport has a very high profile at Earl Spencer.  High quality PE is delivered, throughout the school,  by Mr Brenan & Mr Hughes our Sports' coaches.  We use the REAL PE scheme, which is designed to develop holistic physical skills from an early age.  As children move through the school, children learn sport specific skills to support their participation in competitive sports.  Earl Spencer is part of the Duston Cluster of schools, which runs training sessions for staff and competitions for children in Year 3/4 and Year 5/6.  All schools in the cluster participate in this project.

Additionally, we run many sports' clubs for the children an also bring in specialists to run clubs e.g. gymnastics, street dance & yoga,.

In July 2014, we were very proud, as one of only 3 schools in the town, to achieve our 'Silver Award' from the Sainsburys' School Games organisers. 

In July 2019 we were proud to maintain our status as a Sainsburys' School Games 'Gold Award' school! Our aim is to achieve the 'Platinum Award' in the next 18 months.
