Spring 1- Paws, Claws and Whiskers
Welcome back to a new term, where our topic is called Paws, Claws and Whiskers.
We will be focusing lots of our learning on animals.
Although many of you will not be coming to school we will still be talking on Teams where we get to see all of your amazing work you are doing at home and we can upload some pictures on here for your friends to see.
In our topic lessons we have been learning about an artist called Henri Rousseau. The children have all learnt some facts about him and even researched to find some new facts.
They were then asked to see if they could recreate one of his pictures.

In English we have been learning about rhyming words. We read a story called Ronald the Rhino which had lots of rhyming words in.
In English we have been focusing on rhyming words and writing simple poems.
We then listened to a range of poems and the children had to go away and do some research on poems and find their favourite one. They had to write the poem and draw a picture to go with it.
I got to read some fantastic new poems.
