Our topic this term is Scream Machine!
We will be learning about the science and engineering that goes into the day to day running of a theme park and fair ground.

We have been measuring objects in Newtons today using Newton meeters. Newton's measure the weight of things. Do you know who the Newton meeter is named after?

Yesterday we had so much fun learning about different insects and bugs. Most of the class had a go at holding various creatures even though some of them were very scary!
We have had an incredible delivery in Year 5 - our caterpillars have arrived!
We are excited to watch them grow and transform into big, beautiful butterflies. At the moment they are very small (approx. 8mm) but over the weekend we think they will grow bigger.
In our computing lessons this term Year 5 are developing their own computer games. We started exploring and using scratch today - it was so much fun!
