The Enchanted Woodland
Welcome back to term 4, we hope you all have a lovely holiday and are ready for the term ahead.
Our topic this term is the Enchanted Woodland where in English we will be making inferences based on fairy photos, are they real? We will then be writing letters to a fairy, using our knowledge of descriptive language to describe a setting. Further on into this term we will be looking at familiar stories and beginning to create our own story. Towards the end of the term we will be making our own fairy gardens so will write instructions to go with these and we will finish the term writing a recount of our trip to Brixworth Country Park.
In our math's lessons we will be looking at standard units of capacity and weight, recording and comparing time, as well as recapping division and recalling our number bonds to 10 and 20.
In Science our topic will be plants and flowers, we will be labeling the parts of a plant and identifying deciduous and evergreen trees.
In our topic lessons we will be looking at the work of Andy Goldsworthy, using the forest school area to make a den for a woodland creature, designing and making our own fairy gardens before taking aerial photographs and labeling them.
