Term 3: Beat, Band, Boogie!

This half term we will be reading 'The Steadfast Tin Soldier'. In previous years this has proved a very popular story with the children. The ending particularly shocks them! I look forward to teaching it again this year and looking out for their reactions!

We have been using Drama for Writing when exploring the story of The Steadfast Tin Soldier. This week we have been using 'freeze frames', 'sculpting' and 'thought tapping'. Take a look at Kai taking on the role of the Goblin!

We have been learning how to tell the time. We have been look at quarter past, quarter to, and even to the nearest 5 minutes!

We learned a poem called 'The Band'. We enjoyed performing it with actions and then got to make our very own drum! We then wrote instructions so that other people could follow them and make their own!
