Term 3 and 4 - Revolution

This term we will be learning...

Year 6 have completed a round of mentoring with Miss Egley and Mr Rapps. We are really delighted to see that lots of children have since improved their effort in class and homework meaning that we are a step closer to earning our effort reward of going to the Snozone in Milton Keynes. Keep it going Year 6!

Today we welcomed Atomic Tom from Atomic Science to begin our 'Electricity' unit of work with a big wow! We had a fantastic morning learning about static electricity and experimenting with the Van de Graaff generator.

This week we are working on writing a procedural text about Victorian drills; we went out into the playground (with our very strict, Victorian, teachers) to role play our own drill.

2.2.17 - Today we became Victorian bakers. We made freshly baked bread rolls which we took home to eat for our dinners - yummy!

3.2.17 - As part of the RSPB's 'Big Bird Watch', Year 6 spent some time outside today seeing which birds visit our school. We also made some bird feeders to attract more birds into our forest schools area.
