Our topic this half term is 'Towers, Tunnels and Turrets'. We will be learning all about castles and then writing a non-chronological report. The children will get to visit Warwick Castle which I know is an amazing day out as we have visited there many times before as a school. They will also be reading a book called 'The Tunnel', making inferences about the characters based on what they say and do and also making predictions.
For UK Parliament week this week our class held a referendum on whether or not children should be set homework. Have a look at how we got on....the results might surprise you!
In Science this week we tested biscuit bridges! We predicted which biscuit would make the best bridge (sponge finger, rich tea, shortbread or pink wafer) and carried out our investigation....making sure it was fair of course.
What a fantastic time we had at Warwick Castle this week. The children were so well behaved and were so enthusiastic!
