Term 1: Muck, Mess and Mixtures

We had a fantastic morning with Jupiter Jules from Mad Science!

We made lots of bubbly potions and our very own slime!

More pictures coming soon!

Today we had a fabulous afternoon making delicious pizza!

Eid Mubarak to all who celebrated this weekend!

From Miss Yasmin, Mrs Wright and Miss Skelton.

Year 2 have had lots of fun making our own ice cream.

Follow these simple steps to learn how we made our ice cream

Step 1: Pour a whole glass of milk into a sealed bag.

Step 2: Add sugar to your milk (and any additional flavouring).

Step 3: Add salt to another bag of ice cubes.

Step 4: Put your sealed bag of milk into the ice bag so it is
surrounded and shake for 5 minutes!

Step 5: Take your milk bag out of the ice cube bag, empty on
a plate and ENJOY!

If you would like further information on how to make delicious ice cream please ask our class smiley

Well done Cherry class for their fantastic attendance this week! Let's see if we can keep it up.

We want to be the cup winners next week!

Cherry class have been extremely busy in Science this term.
We have carried out lots of experiments which tie into our 'Muck Mess and Mixtures' topic.

We first made predictions about what happens to ingredients when it is mixed with water.

We  also  found out which soap ingredient creates the most bubbles!

Finally, we have observed the melting process of  chocolate, marshmallows cheese and many more ingredients...

... And we got very mucky and sticky!

Come and visit the Cherry class page later this week when we will be making our very own ice cream!

Today we read 'The Enormous Crocodile' and have written our very own riddles!

Here are a few. Can you guess them?

Welcome to our first term with Cherry class!

Our first topic is 'Muck, mess and mixtures' so be prepared for lots of fun smiley
We are focusing on Roald Dahl books this term and starting off by reading George's Marvellous Medicine.

You will follow in George's foot steps and make your own marvellous medicine!  Are you up for the challenge?

We hope you are looking forward to this great term ahead,

Miss Yasmin, Miss Skelton and Mrs Wright
