Mummification of tomatoes

This term our topic is : Pharaohs.

The children will be finding out all about life in Ancient Egypt including the discovery of Tutunkamun's tomb, the importance of the River Nile, Egyptian gods and goddesses , Egyptian inventions and the different jobs Ancient Egyptians did.





English this term the children will be writing for a range of different reasons based around the story of The Secrets of The Sun King.  

They will be writing letters, writing a newspaper report, writing diary entries, writing instructions on how Egyptians use to embalm their bodies and writing a narrative based on the finding of King Tut's tomb.



In Maths this term we will be looking at place value; identifying the value of numbers up to one million. The children will be looking at the different ways they can be represent the numbers and then using this knowledge to answer addition and subtraction questions.


The children will continue to use TT Rock Stars to develop their multiplication skills - please encourage your child to use this at home as the more they practice the better they get.



Our topic this term is Animals including Humans. Within this topic we will be exploring the human life cycle, the life cycle of some animals and investigating how the Ancient Egyptians mummified their dead!
