During the holidays the children were asked to make or draw something linking to our topic ‘Moon Zoom.’ The children W made some lovely things.
As part of our well-being day he children took part in some different activities. They completed some mindfulness colouring sheets, peer massaging and yoga. The peer massaging involved the children asking their friend if they wanted to have a massage and then we went through a couple of techniques. The children had a lovely calm and relaxing day!
This week, in English, we have been doing some drama and group work. We have been reading about a bear and a dog who went on a trip to the moon.
The children did some freeze frames, sculpting and hot seating.
In our English lessons we have been looking at the story Beegu. The children have learnt to retell the story by using actions. Here are some pictures of the children using the actions.

Hazel class were very happy this week as they won a trophy and certificate for being the most active class during lunchtimes. Let’s hope they can keep it up so they can win it again next week!
This week we have learnt about Chinese New Year and learnt about the story behind it. The children had lots of fun with Mrs Lack making their own Chinese dragons.
This week it is Children’s mental health week. As a whole school we have took part in various activities to help us feel calm, relaxed but also happy. The children have a taken part in meditation, yoga, body scan meditation and some mindfulness colouring.
The children had lots of fun creating their own rockets using lots of junk modelling.
