Pastoral Lead/Family Support Worker

Meet the team:

Hello, My name is Jo James and I am the Pastoral Lead here at Earl Spencer Primary.

I have worked with children and families for many years in both Primary and Secondary Schools, I have also worked for the behaviour service and am a qualified counsellor.

Hello, My name is Leanne Russell and I am Family Support Worker here at school working alongside Mrs Jo James.

I have worked in the early years for over 10 years and in parent/family support role in both Primary and Secondary Schools.

We both have knowledge and experience of supporting families with a wide range of issues such as: parenting, housing, finances, relationship breakdowns, routines, attendance/lateness and social/emotional issues.

Our role:

Our main role is to support the parents, carers and families here at Earl Spencer, encouraging a positive home-school link. We will help you and school to work together in supporting your family and your child/children so they can achieve their full potential in all aspects of school and home life.

We are here to help with any difficulties - however big or small. If you have a worry or concern feel free to come and chat to one of us and we will do our best to support you.

Earl Spencer Primary School believe that early help builds strong families, we are therefore here to support families who may require help from other agencies by working together through an Early Help Assessment. This is a tool which identifies areas of need, and looks at who can support the family so they can work together as soon as a problem begins to emerge and prevent problems from escalating.

Where to find us:

Jo is based at school most days from 8.00am - 3.30pm. You can catch Jo before or after school or pop into the school office.

Leanne is based in school most days from 8.30am - 3.00pm

You can contact us on 751130. If we are not available we will call you back ASAP.
