For Parliament week , Year 6 Rowan explored the concept of campaigning as a way of getting their viewpoint across.
The children discussed local issues, for example litter, crime and closing of services. We also looked at world wide issues for example the use of plastics.
After reflection the class decided that they wanted to campaign on the behalf of the Orang-utans , who are threaten due to deforestation. Year 6 decided to write letters and emails to a range of people asking for their thoughts and advice on this matter.
