All school staff, governors and volunteers have to have Disclosure and Barring Service checks. A record called the Single Central Record records all these as well as other safeguarding and identity checks.

If you want to tell someone about your concerns for a child’s welfare, or you need advice about how to make an appropriate referral, please contact them using the telephone numbers below.


If it is an emergency and you think that a child may be in immediate danger please contact the emergency services directly by calling 999.

If you need to contact them you can telephone them on 0300 126 7000  or during the evening, at night or at the weekend, please phone our out-of-hours team on 01604 626 938.
