We are proud to sit at the heart of the Spencer Estate, with our school representing the diversity of our local community.
We currently have 23 languages spoken at the school, with individual support staff employed to assist the development of groups and individuals.
We also have a group of ‘Young Translators’ who will meet up regularly with children from schools across the town and train to support with translating at our school.
We believe that our ‘Young Translators’ have language and interpersonal skills to assist with, for example, showing new pupils and parents around the school and helping new-to-English pupils make themselves understood.
