This week we were lucky enough to have a visit from Jupiter Jules from Mad Science. We learned all about magnets and even made our own floating magnets :)
In Drama, we sculpted a partner as The Iron Man after listening to the description from the poem. Here are some images below :)
In English we are using a text called The Iron Man. As an introduction to the story, we used a poem to find out more about the main character. The poem is called, 'The Coming of The Iron Man, By Brenda Williams. If you would like to listen to the poem, use the link below.
We were inspired by a Russian artist called Kazimir Malevich. He uses shapes to create abstract art. We created our own abstract art using metallic colours. Pop in to Beech class to have a look.
Our topic this term is Mighty Metals! We will be linking our topic to all of our subjects. In Science our focus is Forces and Magnets. Beech class are excited to learn all about them.
