We’re looking for a one-to-one LSA to work with a child with Down’s syndrome who is currently in Year 2. The staff at Earl Spencer is a fantastic team who are passionate about teaching and learning, are relentlessly committed to making the topic-based learning exciting, engaging and most of all enjoyable.
The post will require particular skills and involves working with a child who has a range of needs. The candidate will be working closely with the class teacher and SENCO.
The main function is to assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the pupil to whom you are assigned, to enable him/her to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them. Your duties would include break time supervision as well as one-to-one support in class.
Your hours would be 31.25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, 8:30am to 12:00pm then 12:30 pm to 3.15 pm.
Pay/Salary Information: The position is for a level 2 – Attached to Named Child 1:1 Teaching Assistant.
Starting Salary Grade D, Point 3 – £18,562.00 FTE
