Meet the team:
Hello, My name is Leanne Russell and I am the Family Support Worker here at the school.
I have worked in the early years for over 10 years and in parent/family support role in both Primary and Secondary Schools.
I have knowledge and experience of supporting families with a wide range of issues such as: parenting, housing, finances, relationship breakdowns, routines, attendance/lateness and social/emotional issues.
My main role is to support the parents, carers and families here at Earl Spencer, encouraging a positive home-school link. I will help you and school to work together in supporting your family and your child/children so they can achieve their full potential in all aspects of school and home life.
I am here to help with any difficulties - however big or small. If you have a worry or concern feel free to come and chat to me and I will do my best to support you.
Earl Spencer Primary School believe that early help builds strong families, we are therefore here to support families who may require help from other agencies by working together through an Early Help Assessment. This is a tool which identifies areas of need, and looks at who can support the family so they can work together as soon as a problem begins to emerge and prevent problems from escalating.
Where to find me:
Leanne is based in school most days from 8.30am - 3.00pm. You can contact me on 751130. If I am not available I will call you back ASAP.
Hello, My name is Sarah Welsford and I am the Wellbeing Mentor here at the school.
My role is to support children in school with their social and emotional health. I support children with their worries and problems that they are having such as friendships.
Hello, my name is Lucy Dhiman and I am also a Wellbeing Mentor based in the Nurture Room.
Similarly to Sarah, I support the children if they are experiencing any difficulties or worries, to ensure that they feel happy and settled at school. I work Monday - Thursday from 12-3pm.
I am passionate about children's mental health and wellbeing, to ensure that they live their childhood to the full. I love to spend time outside, keeping active and also enjoy baking.
