Our new art topic is all about the artist L.S. Lowry. To begin, we looked at a range of his paintings, in particular the way that he painted the people in his work.  We then went on to look at figurative drawings, and attempted some drawings of our own using a simplified line to obtain the basic shape and size, using skeletal parts as markers to help us keep the correct proportions. We had fun drawing and posing for each other's work. 
Next, we looked more closely at Lowry's work. We created a reference sheet based on information that we found and copied some of his work.
