With the help of our families we collected lost of junk from home and brought it to school to make 3-D animals.  With the help of Miss White and Miss Webster we created giraffes, snakes, penguins, kangaroos, caterpillars and many more.  We had lots of messy and creative fun.  Miss White and Miss Webster even made a giant giraffe 'Gerry' and we all helped with the painting.

We have been learning all about 3 dimensional shapes in maths.  As part of our learning

we used polygons to make cubes, cuboids, spheres, pyramids and cones.  We had the best of fun doing it.  We even made a shape zoo and put all our little animals in it.

Sing-a-Long & Learn Properties of Shapes!

We completed our phonics screening tests this term.  To make sure that we were all ready we played lots of phonics games, using our sounds to make and read words.  We all did really well in our screening test and the whole school is super proud of us!!indecision
We have been learning about fractions this term.  We used pretend pizzas to show what a 1/4 and 1/2 of a circle looks like.  We also made some pretend pizzas and got to choose our own toppings.  We have learned how to find a 1/4 and 1/2 of a number by sharing objects in 4 or 2.  We are really clever! smiley
