Term 4: Wriggle and Crawl

Welcome to term 4-the school year is going so fast!

Our topic this half term is 'Wriggle and Crawl'. We are going to be learning about the life cycles of butterflies and frogs and writing explanation texts about them in English. In Science we are going to be learning about habitats and food chains.

We are currently excitedly awaiting our very own caterpillars that we are going to nurture and observe turning into butterflies. We will let you know when they arrive!

Our caterpillars are now chrysalises! Keep looking to see when they turn into butterflies!

We had a great time when Lee visited us from Bugtopia....
What a wonderful day we had at the butterfly farm in Stratford. Lots of butterflies fluttered all around us and even landed on us! We got to hold a millipede and even learned about leaf cutter ants. Take a look at our pictures....

World book day

What a fantastic day we all had! Lots of children were dressed up as characters from the books and we had lots of activities for the children to do during parents morning. The children also had a 'wally finder' competition to locate the hidden wallys around the school.

Our caterpillars are growing! Keep checking our class page for their progress. It won't be long until they are pupas!
