Summer 1- Enchanted Woodland

Welcome back to the Summer term.

 

This term our topic is the Enchanted woodland. 

 

We will be creating our own fairy gardens in topic and then writing instructions on how to make it in English.  We will be writing letters to a fairy thinking about the features that must be included as well as creating a non chronological report on fairies.  

 

In maths we will be increasing our knowledge on measure, time and looking at having = in different places in a number sentence. We will also learn about pictograms and tally charts. 

 

Our Science lessons will see us learning about flowers, plants and trees.

 

                  

 

 

We really enjoyed sharing our Easter homework projects.

In maths we have been learning to measure liquid in millilitres. We were challenged to make an invisibility potion ensuring we measured the ingredients correctly.

We went to the forest school area and made dens using natural materials for woodland creatures.

We have started our new RE topic off with looking at different items that are part of the Islam religion.

As part of our woodland topic we had Bugtopia come in with some woodland animals. We got to hold a millipede, a tarantula and a stick insect.

Last week during English lessons we were looking at and writing instructions. On Friday we had to follow some instructions to make a jam sandwich.
